Our Story
Richard Firth, Founder and Data Professional
Richard (founder), launched his telecom career in Sydney and Brisbane, working with PABX systems for Ansett, Qantas and major hotels. Rick then rolled out early analogue mobile networks for NORTEL and supervising cabling at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
After a decade running his own “Extra Phone Point” business, Rick founded Express Voice & Data (originally Xpress Voice & Data), steadily building a loyal base of residential, corporate and government clients.
When Rick's not delivering quality telecommunications solutions, he can usually be found in his garage tinkering with vintage motorcycle projects. He’s a bit of a movie buff (action films are his favourite), enjoys dining out with friends and loves to travel when time allows. These down-to-earth interests reflect his practical, hands-on nature and his commitment to getting things right — whether it’s a tricky network install, or restoring an old bike to its former glory.
